We love your track record. 10 years of uber violence.
It’s very important work for our society.
Now all the comforts are provided for. Complete medical coverage for everybody. There is no more hunger. No more wars. Even corporate warfare is over.
Now could you just step aside? It’s time for you to retire as per the wishes of the council.
I had nothing to do with your wife being taken away from you! Now just fall into line and accept our generous package!!!!
Like hell I will retire! My team needs me!!
You took my wife away!!
And why the hell did Google erase the entire history of the 13th century!!!
I will not comply! I WILL NOT EAT ZE BUGS!!!
Change the rules all you want! My team is going to win!
There is no way you can stop my spirit!!!
YOU HAVE NO POWER OVER ME!!!
Join Movie Night Madness Monday night 9PM Est as Sisyphus Jones and Doc Rock present Norman Jewison’s 1975 death sport spectacular, Rollerball.
Directed by Norman Jewison.
Starring James Caan, John Houseman, and Maud Adams.
This dystopian classic takes a look at a post Agenda 2030 world where the corporations have merged to become all powerful to assume control of the world. Nation states are a thing of the past after a world war and then a corporate war. Full on socialism is in place. There is no hunger, comforts are provided for, even many luxuries. Life can be pretty good, just don’t question things, don’t go against the grain, and do not in any way go against the wishes of the corporation.
This is a follow up to last week’s bread and circuses movie, Death Race 2000. Rollerball actually spawned Death Race 2000. Because of Roger Corman’s amazing skills to get a movie made really quick, he was able to get Death Race 2000 out two months before this great film. Death Race was a schlocky campy b-movie from Roger Corman, Rollerball is the big studio movie with a big name director.
After the fun we had last week with Death Race 2000 we take a look at the more somber Rollerball and contemplate how their fascist system got set up, and where we are in our own timeline of government/corporate tyranny.
Come check out our great presentation on the movie, then join us for the watch-along of Rollerball. As always, our audience participates in the most amazing post movie discussion.
Join Sisyphus Jones and Doc Rock for the Movie Night Madness presentation of Rollerball Monday night 9PM Est. No matter how much Klaus Schwab wants us to retire, we are getting this movie done!!
